GOT Finale

Hey Guys,

I’m one of those people that blew off GoT for years because I thought it sounded dumb with dragons and all that. Then I gave it a chance and cannot get enough! In the last 4 weeks, I’ve watched the entire series in time for the finale. I listen to podcasts while driving for work most of the day and was so glad I came across your guys’ GoT pod, I can’t wait for them to come out and can barely stand to listen to any others. Gene and Big D you guys are intelligent and hilarious. Love Shat The Movies by the way too (would love to hear you guys do The Beastmaster) Anyway, just wanted to give my thoughts on how the finale will end: Yeah some innocent people died in Kings Landing but let’s face it, that place needed to go and there is no way Daenerys could stand to still see that place standing. She probably could have saved a bunch of lives by going straight for the Red Keep after they gave up but it was also nice to see Cersei have to stand there and watch Daenerys destroy her entire kingdom and realize she was nothing compared to her. I think the good in Daenerys will prevail and she will prove it by sacrificing Drogon. No people would feel safe as long as he was around. She will let the rightful heir to the throne rule in the new “Kings Landing” with her by his side. I know Jon being raised a Stark has a hard time with her being his Aunt but he’ll get over it haha. He’ll have Sam be his Grand Maester because Jon knows Sam will be as good as any even though he might not have finished his official apprenticeship. Tyrion will be his hand and Sansa will rule the North. It’s hard to decide on anything because there are so many things that could happen. We can’t forget about Bronn too, he might be the one to kill Drogon. I do have a hard time seeing Daenerys die unless she commits suicide. Maybe she rules elsewhere, maybe Jon rules the North and lets Sansa rule Westeros because he’s always said he doesn’t want it. I can’t wait to see how they decided to end it and to your reactions. I hope you read this long email and I greatly appreciate all the time and work you guys put into it!
