I am a bit behind on the pod this week and just had a chance to listen to the instacast (I’ll get to the full and Small Council before tomorrow night’s episode!). And I have to say THANK YOU to Big D.
Thank you for saying out loud what I said to some friends earlier this week – though I was met with many eye rolls.
In re-watching, it annoyed me perhaps even more than the first go-round, and I found myself yelling at the TV: You never deserved Ghost.
And my rant continued: Oh, Sam’s the best friend you ever had? He’s the reason some of your other friends are dead now And HE gets a big hug?
You can’t even give Ghost a pat on the head? You can’t even bathe him or clean him up for God’s sake? He’s covered in blood stains!
You just pawn him off on Tormund and feel some kind of like “good guy” ’cause you rehomed him?
Ugh. Poor showing, Jon Snow.
And I am usually a Jon fan, but this was a (no other way to say) shitty move.
I hope this isn’t the writers’ way of taking him down a notch so we feel a little less awful if he dies soon.
Seriously, this irked the heck out of me, and I appreciate that you made note of it in the instacast.
Again, I am behind so this theory may have been ripped to shreds in the full cast or the Small Council, but I stick by it and hope you did, too!
