GOT – Season 8, Ep 5 – Thoughts

A few quick thoughts about Ep 5:
1. Danaeyrs’s choice to pillage and burn the people of King’s Landing – she came to Westeros expecting to be loved and adored by the people, but she was met with distrust and fear. She was not accepted by them. She wanted to be able to see the person she wanted herself to be – a transformative savior – in their eyes. They would not give it to her. Her choice to burn the people was informed by her rage at their rejection of her.
2. I love the touching and beautiful scene between Tyrian and Jamie.
3. I think the last 10 seconds of the last show should be Cersei climbing out of the rubble, clutching her belly, then turning her head toward the dingy at the water. 🙂
