GOT Small Council- Daenerys’ Main Drive

Hey Guys, Kal from Minnesota again.

I’m really interested in what you guys have to say about what Daenerys’ current main drive for ruling is. The war is presumably over, so now, in her mind anyway, she is about to begin her long reign. So why does she want to rule? Has she gone full mad queen and the whole thing has become just about revenge for house Targaryen, and she will spend her rule-obsessed with holding the position? Or perhaps now that she’s won, and everyone knows what will happen if anyone opposes her, she’ll be concerned with actually ruling. It’s possible she just wants the title, much like king Robert who spent his time drinking, hunting, and calling for overly lavish celebrations, leaving the work to others. But I can’t forget about her statement all those seasons ago about destroying the wheel. Am I correct? the wheel is referring to all the high Lords and their houses? The idea of the wheel is that the throne is just continually fought over and transferred between these seven different royal families, who basically rule over each territory like a Mob family. For Daenerys to fulfill that desire she would have to effectively kill off all these families, including the Starks. I could see a scenario where Daenerys’ tries to round everyone up for a celebration and attempt to firebomb them all at once. “No more Lords,No More Houses,” I can hear her saying. But I feel like she’s abandoned the wheel concept. She made Gendry Baratheon lord of storm’s end. So, I’m just having trouble understanding her current desires for ruling. She talked so much about stopping Tyrants and destroying the wheel?
