I really enjoy ‘On the Throne’ and you’re off to a great start for season 8! Please keep up the great work.

My question is: Bran doesn’t want to waste any time – he (sensibly) wants everyone to focus on fighting the army of the dead. So why does he tell Sam that “now’s the time” to tell Jon about his true parents? How is that relevant to the war with the dead – isn’t it actually a political distraction instead?
