GOT – Will Sansa/Arya/Bran Become Villains?

Hey Guys,

Just something ridiculous that I can’t seem to shake off entirely is the idea that Sansa and Arya will come to rely on Bran too much. Bran is essentially acting as a sort-of government surveillance system. While this led to the well-deserved execution of Lord Baelish I worry that other outcomes might not be as good.

Bran has already shown that although he may be able to see everything, he may not have the full context such as when he knew about Jon Snow’s parentage but did not know the annulment of Rhaegar’s prior marriage. I worry that Sansa’s and Arya’s reliance on Bran will cause them to miss things such as Jamie’s overall redemption arc and focus only on what Bran chooses to recall. After all, the show has already made clear that Arya is willing to kill without worrying about details (i.e. killing the entire Frey family without considering the possibility that some in attendance may not have been guilty or played a significant role in the Red Wedding).

Also, there is evidence that Bran is already sharing information with Sansa and Arya. In Episode 1 of Season 8, Arya asked Jon how he was able to survive a knife to the heart. It seemed to me that this was the show’s way of implying that Bran had given Arya (and likely Sansa) the 411 regarding Jon’s resurrection by the Red Woman. In the same scene, while hugging Jon, Arya asks him to remember that he is also part of the Stark family. Was this hinting that Bran also told Arya about Jon’s true parentage and she was preparing him for the knowledge that his father was a Targaryen?

I know Sansa and Arya doing bad things on the show would be deeply unpopular among the GOT fanbase but what do you think?
