Hooded Henchman Foreshadowing and Mud Rant

been thoroughly enjoying your Taboo podcasts reactions and river rants and especially reminisShating on old 80s-90s Movies as well. it been especially nostalgic for me and Big D said it, there is a generation of kids now who just haven’t seen or heard of half these movies and that seems crazy but I feel like a club we’re in we’re we are acting curators for which movies should be worth their weight in K O…. nerd joke which brings me back to Taboo, I just wanted to make an observation going back to Episode 3 and say that your pod of Westworld got me watching shows a bit differently nowadays.

I find myself analyzing the context of what seem like off hand meaningless comments and i think this show is doing a lot of sneaky things. for example: Check the cut scenes out where Zilpha and James are writing letters to each other and James is setting up his boat. The scenes show casually how various crew are moving cargo around and planning with James and then this hooded character walks on with the voice over:

Do you recognize this guy in episode 4? that hooded cloak is unmistakable, and the comment about treachery surrounding him foreshadows this ominous stranger and we had a flash glance at him in ep03.

This long haired individual outside Delaney’s window is also suspicious there are no words but it’s dark (moonlit maybe) and he seems to be pointing at James when he first looks out. I’m straining to see who it is but the light color hair reminds me of Helga or more likely the old man from the farm looking after Delaney’s kid?. Just weird he’s out there is he just watching?, warning?.(is that a black rabbit next to him on the floor?) who the hell is this?

My last issue i wanted to raise was what the hell is the etiquette when you walk through this much mud mixed with piss and shit like James and everyone is doing in the shot below?

I mean do you just not care and track all that crap into wherever the hell your are going? is there a brush? a scraper? like at the golf course when you head into the clubhouse? This bothered me in Westworld as well and any western frankly cuz that mud is serious like on top of your foot deep… Everyone’s boots and floor seem to be clean inside.?!? wtf?
