I’m Leaving

Westworld Telegraph

Have a Theory? Share It Now!

It is with reluctance that I am leaving Westworld. I appreciate that it is a great show and resonates with a particular audience, but that audience no longer includes me.

They had me; the first season; hook, line, and sinker. I loved it. After every episode I “inhaled” as many podcasts as I could find; including all three of your weekly offerings.

But no more. This is nuts. Playing with time was one thing — but now playing with reality — no more! I just can’t keep up. And I consider myself an intelligent person. So I’m leaving because I’m confused — but ultimately I’m leaving because Westworld is no longer enjoyable to me.

Perhaps HBO will settle back into something more accessible in future seasons — and if so, I think I’ll try to come back. But for now, this is not fun (for me) anymore.

I know this letter does not advance any theories or plot discussions — but since you have often spoke about the size of the audience, I felt it would be okay to contribute this opinion.
