Indoor Vs. Outdoor Park

Hey guys,

Long-time listener, first-time emailer.

I can’t be the only person who imagined Westworld as an indoor/underground park, right? Maybe I missed something last season that explained this away, but I always sort of envisioned the park as a Hunger Games-style arena, that can be completely manipulated by engineers in the control room (even weather, time of day, etc.). When I saw the army guys storming the beach, it was clear that they were already in Westworld, and there was no passage underground or arena that they had to breach. This, in theory, makes it a lot easier for hosts to venture out into the real world, right?

Let me know if I’m off-base, or if I just missed something. But I’d be interested to hear how you all envisioned these “parks.”

Westworld’s incredibly consistent rain does seem a bit fishy, but so does the idea of a dome. In Episode 2, we see Jim Delos flying in via helicopter. And do all parks have the same weather?

On the other hand, Dr. Ford (God rest his soul) did say “in here” when referring to Westworld. Why would you call something “in here” if it weren’t in a covered place?
