Hey Guys,

Just wanted to comment on a few things from the Instacast as well as throw out a question.

First I wanted to mention about the pearls that Dolores has. I think we need to consider when she acquired each pearl. We know that she cut open Peter Abernathy’s head and could have taken his. We also know she took Teddy’s, and we know she shot Bernard in the forge and took his to revive him in the future. I don’t know when she would have gotten it, but I believe she also has Charlotte Hale’s, simply because we see Charlotte in the future and it doesn’t make sense to me why she would put someone else inside of Charlotte(like Teddy or Abernathy) instead of just recreating their host bodies as she did with Bernard. That would be four of the five, and for the last one the only thing that makes sense to me is Robert Ford. I don’t know when she would have gotten his pearl unless Bernard had it on him though.

My second comment, I don’t know why everyone is so quick to peg Stubbs as a host, I did not get that at all from his speech. I don’t believe this was Stubb’s big “coming out as a host” moment, I believe it was his big moment of changing loyalty. His speech was telling Charlotte he knew she was a host, but that he was on her side. The comparisons he was making in the speech were just that he didn’t think humans and hosts were so different, given that he was brought to the park by Ford and assigned a role to stick to, and told who to be loyal to, etc.

Lastly, what do you guys think the significance is to Dolores going immediately to Karl Strand’s book in the forge? It’s the only book I remember her grabbing out of the millions available, and I remember her saying something later about “I didn’t read it all but I read enough”. I’ve only watched the episode once so I might be wrong in connected those two scenes but I feel like this is a clue to something.

Love the podcast.

Thanks,
Nick
