Some Interesting Stuff in Episode 7
Heya
So thanks again for all the insightful stuff you guys give us week to week. I really find such value in your discussions. But a few of my own observations that I hope are better thought out than my last contribution. These are based on conversations with my hubby, so some of these ideas were his.
Mind blown in this episode, and not because of the big reveal, but because of the incredible subtlety of the writing.
For example – I have seen loads of complaints about how uncomfortable the scene with Charlotte and Theresa was, and I honestly believe that it was intentionally done. Notable in this scene was Theresa’s absolute disgust at Charlotte cavorting with a host – which only highlights the bunker scene when she realises she too has been involved with a host.
This also makes me wonder whether Charlotte is aware of what Ford has been doing and has set up Theresa as the blood sacrifice purposefully. Although there doesn’t seem to be any information about that in this episode – so perhaps we wait and see.
So kind of leading off from the Bernard revelation, I wonder why the “techs” have to stop all the hosts when they collect Clementine given that the hosts can be “programmed” to not see what they shouldn’t. Just a little continuity thing thats been bugging me.
But another super fun aspect of the episode, that I don’t think you guys touched on, is the first ever view of the Headquarters from inside the park. Very cool.
