Jon”s Execution

Hey guys,

I can’t believe it”s over.

I love the thought of a potential season 9 but what is dead may never die.

Two things…firstly, I agree that a better ending would be Jon”s execution. As much as I love Jon it would have given much better closure. Furthermore, it should be Bran to give the final blow, “Our way is the old way” It would have gone full circle. Season 1 episode 1 when Ned beheads the knight of the watch that fled his duty, it was Jon who stood behind Bran and told him to watch and said you did well by witnessing. I can’t believe that the Double D”s missed this opportunity to bring it back and end the show the way it started. In that scene S1E1, Ned approaches Bran after he beheads the soldier and asks him, “you understand why I had to do it.” Bran says “our way is the old way”, Ned responds “he who passes the sentence should swing the sword”. This was a huge miss in my opinion.

Secondly, Um actually, Gene when you”re giving your beautifully thought out season 9 episode guideline, you accidentally call Dany Cersei. You know we couldn’t let it slide even in this final podcast
