Logan And Lawrence Theory – Westworld S02e02

Hey everyone,
Here’s a thought: Logan and Delos Sr. are Lawrence and Abernathy.
Delos is using the hosts to store or recreate people’s memories in hosts through advanced technology. Not only is Delos recreating prominent people, but it’s doing this with average people who get help through William’s charity. People’s consciousness are knowingly or unknowingly being transferred to the hosts then given back to families who have their loved ones back, seemingly healthy.
What makes this important? Well, we know Delos Sr. was seeking treatment, and Abernathy lost it when he saw a picture of William’s wife. Ol’ Pete started talking about how he needed to protect his daughter. It’s no coincidence that Abernathy saw a picture of William’s wife and Delos’s daughter, and it caused his to lose it. We assumed that the pictured caused the reaction because it’s both a photo and New York City is in the background, causing cognitive dissidence. But what if Ford’s reveries caused Abernathy to draw on Delos’s memories. This means his concern wasn’t about Dolores, explains the Shakespeare lines, and finally why Abernathy is so important to Delos. We also saw in episode 2 how William was angling to be head of Delos. Senior himself says that his retirement party looks like a coronation for William, but he mentions that he may not need to retire. If this happens, William doesn’t become head of the company. But if the treatment is moving Delos’s consciousness into a host then it can be wiped then thrown into the park. That’s a brutal coup d’etat, ain’t it? I wouldn’t trust him around my daughter, either.
And lastly, we know Logan is missing. People have suspected that he’s dead for a while, but if Delos Sr. managed to survive by transferring his consciousness into a robot then why not Logan? Or maybe this was done against Logan’s will? We know William has no problem leaving him to be injured or die in season 1, so if Logan was mad about what Will did then Will could’ve simply done the same to Logan against his will, wiped his memory, then released his host into the park. Of course, William would know. And he might keep going back to this host. And who does William constantly rely on in the show? Lawrence! This, I admit, is a bit shakier, but I’d like to leave you with these lines from season 1:
Lawrence: “Maybe you like the pleasure of my company, you sadistic fuck.”
Man in Black: “Why, maybe I do. There’s not a man in the world who’ll take the tone with me you do. In a past life, perhaps.”
If Lawrence is Logan, William could be acknowledging that Logan would’ve insulted him in a similar way, and he likes having the Logan-bot around.
Thanks for reading all of this,
Michael
P.S: Did you all notice the similarities between Dolores and William’s life about helping being in x’s nature? I’m excited for their showdown: Two opposing yet eerily similar forces.
