Hello guys,

First let me thank you for the time you gave to the mail about my grandma a few weeks ago, I was touched by your reaction, I’m glad you liked the way I wrote that mail and your recommendation on keeping memories, actually I’m a photographer so I take pictures every time I see her (not too many or she’ll get annoyed and that’s the reason why I don’t have videos) and I also have voice recordings I “secretly” made a few years ago while I asked her to tell me some of her stories again, I just love listening to her laughing.

And now my theory: I must say it’s kinda corny, but I think love is the answer, the key to hosts awakening and their freedom. What I’m not sure is if this is Ford and/or Arnold’s intention or if it was just by chance, but it seems like they managed to reproduce real, pure love through code since everything points to the fact that the first pairing of hosts that are programmed to love each other (first romantic love, first daughter, son, mom, dad, etc.) is rooted so deep that it cannot be completely erased when the narrative is changed or the host is replaced and this bits and pieces fueled by the pain of the loss could be the cause of the code errors that build up over the years and lead to the awakening.

This seems pretty straight forward for Maeve, Akacheta and others but as you pointed out on the deep dive, it’s not that clear for Dolores and I think that maybe they didn’t programmed her to specifically love a host on the beginning, but perhaps William was the first person to treat her right so she really fell in love with him and her dark awakening is due to the realization that her one true love is the same who’s caused her the most damage.

So this could mean two things: the door for the MIB is to right the wrongs he’s done to Dolores so she doesn’t kill everybody (it ends where you begin and starts where you end), or is related to the relationship between him and his daughter who now hates him even more for breaking the deal they made.

For me this “love is the key” theory makes sense cause human’s personalities are basically formed around the approach and understanding everyone has on love and relationships.

On a side note, one of you said on the last episode that Maeve didn’t receive the “code” this violent delights have violent ends, but she did. Dolores says those words to her outside of the Mariposa when Maeve asks her not to stand in front the brothel.

That’s it for today.

Greetings to you all.

Aza.
