Man In Black Change
I started watching Westworld between seasons one and two, and got hooked on the podcast. It is much more enjoyable to have a week in between episodes to digest and discuss the show.
Just wanted to comment on the Man in Blacks character change. He has repeated several times that the stakes have changed. Characters he kills may not ever be repaired and brought back. At the least there is no inevitable restart of a loop. This may cause him to feel differently about how he interacts with the hosts and his role as the black hat. He isn’t fundamentally all that different but just isn’t as emotionally detached as he was in the past. By contrast, in the past he knew regardless of what he did Laurence would always come back as his old self.
