Maze In Host’s Heads and As Always… It Leads To More…

Guys,

Great work. I really think the image of the maze only resides in the host’s heads of Arnold’s Originals. Likely because Arnold put it there. Regardless of who he was Arnold, we are led to believe, he wanted to create consciousness. I believe he thought getting the hosts, perhaps only his Originals, to figure out who they were talking to, (successfully navigating his maze) was the path to attaining consciousness. Dolores did it. Finished Arnold’s maze. But, the maze did not get Dolores to figure out who was talking to her. Arnold didn’t know how to save his creations. Ford supposedly does. I’m thinking both Ford and Arnold effectively killed themselves. Assuming all of Arnold’s Originals reside in Westworld, with Ford supervising everything there, hardly any humans would see the maze. If ever. Ford is so capable. He can fix any problem with any host in Westworld without, removing their Nintendo cartridge. Perhaps, this is how William knew who to scalp. He knew of Arnold. That’s the guy William needed a shovel to ask. Arnold.

What if Ghost Nation was programmed to protect humans? It makes sense. They reside on the fringes of the park. In narrative all of the other hosts who would accompany you, would tell you the horrors of the victims they capture. But, if all your host buddies die defending you and Ghost Nation does take you… What if then…? Game Over. You end up getting reset like we see back in Season 1? What if the place, where Ghost Nation’s tribe takes you, is nothing more than a haunted house? Remember those humans that ride in with Hector to take the safe? A family screws up the narrative, by changing their itinerary and coming back to town early. So, Control has to shut it down, clean up, and not let the family’s kids see the massacre. But, the park can’t totally fuck the humans over. Remember what Control does immediately? Lock them in jail for the night and a Mariposa girl slips them a key in their breakfast. Never breaking the immersion of the experience. Surely, other narratives were updated as well and are likely being done so constantly. What if Logan was right? Perhaps, Ford really did send Dolores to fall in William’s lap. Hokey? Yes. Consider perspectives. The author is Ford. The audience is one. Two at worst. Only one matters. I maintain, William is Ford’s game greatest player ever. Of course Ford, would not have known this yet. But, he certainly knew William was a high up within Delos. When in doubt, assume Ford knows all. He is God. Ford would want William sold. Perhaps, the royalty narrative is a bit hokey. But, if Nolan and Joy go there, Emily will almost certainly be Ford’s game’s second greatest player. Or would they have to? If nothing else, experience and genetics.

Then again. Could the Maze inside the host’s heads be one thing Ford didn’t know?

Agreed. I liked and commented on his tweet about it.

In Season 1, Big D pointed out the Maze symbol inside the scalps of hosts like Kissy could be the radio antenna that sets old models apart from newer hosts. Seems like there’s more evidence for that now.
