Ok One More Thing

Hey Guys,

Another thing to add to the reflections mirroring that took place: human code. So it took a slew of tech heads and god knows what else to just code one host, and frankly I’m sure they could have spent even more time continuing to code and refine and perfect hosts, whose code is so complicated no one even understands it they just keep adding new code to it. So basically it took a LOT to code a host consciousness, to even just code the essence that they had consciousness. But here AI is, thinking we are these complex beings and they decode human consciousness and try to rebuild it and they’re too good at it, they make it too complicated with too many layers to the point where they can’t replicate an exact copy because every copy is too much until they realize it’s too much and they strip that all away and end up with 10,000 lines of code that equal human consciousness. That’s a powerful slap in the face to humans watching this show. It conjures up Tyler Durden saying “you’re not special. You’re not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You’re the same decaying organic matter as everything else”. Humanity isn’t special we made it special by giving ourself an origin story that some higher power choose for us to be here. And here a VR Logan is slapping us in the face confirming that we are not these complex creatures. It also makes me think of inception, I know audible groan, but just to make a quick example: the only way to give someone an idea was to boil it down to its smallest bit and incept that in someone’s mind and that will grow into the main point you were getting at. The VR Logan program boiled down human consciousness into a single small 11th grade required humanities reading book. Now I’d like to know how much code from the hosts is in book form just for comparison but I’m ok with assuming it’s a lot thicker than our tiny mice of men sized 30 minute reads.

But just back to the mirroring the more I think of what they were visually giving us, they were weighing consciousness they gave us a visual representation of our consciousness/soul whatever you want to call it. It’s something that’s powerful that’s sticking with me in comparison to how complicated technology is I mean the Manual that comes with your windows 10 package. It’s just crazy to think about and I can’t understand people that just watch the show to see who wins this fight just start looking at the little nods they’re giving us all to look at ourselves and realize we aren’t that special and our time here on earth is borrowed. That we are such simple beasts roaming around we ourselves can’t figure out what consciousness is yet we’re building these machines and devices that are ten times as complex as us. It makes ya feel small and kind of less sparkly and special that we’re here. And again this is why I love this show.

Maybe people need to just get high more and think about how we’re all made of star stuff and they’ll appreciate this more.
