Old Friend- Meera Reed

Love the show. I just wanted to get a theory out there that I have not heard. I wonder if it possible that the “old friend” Bran is waiting for is Meera Reed. The reason I want this is I want her to bring Howland her father to Winterfell. Howland is the only person who can verify what Sam/Bran is trying to tell John. He was the only other person alive from the tower of Joy. Therefore he can give validity to John’s claim to the Throne. It would do the story a disservice if he is not at some point made part of the ending.
