Hey Guys,

Short version of theory is as follows:

Free-will is not a mere illusion, it is simply restrained by conscience, which is an illusion.

Collective consciousness, or we could call it cultural heritage, is developed, and preserved, through story-telling. This video turned up on youtube (I think Ford has been messing with my timeline) and as well as an opportunity to listen to somebody talking sense, it points to the elements of story-telling that can be used to manipulate the emotions.

The method used by humans to preserve cultural identity, is to write the story for a collective audience, and human cynicism means that this science needs to be utilised. In particular the “angel’s cocktail”.

But a parent, sharing their cultural identity with a child, has no need to manipulate the “angel’s cocktail”, it is already inherent. This gives the story-teller, and more valuably the listener, the freedom to explore the “devil’s cocktail”.
