Problem With Caleb’s Narrative

Guys,

I loved the episode from a dramatic standpoint with lots of clever reveals. I am having a problem with the logic of Caleb’s timeline and maybe you folks can help me out.

I assume that the initial loop that Maeve and Caleb actually went through was in a real park at the Temperance site. In that loop both Caleb and Maeve are killed, with Caleb dying in the control room with Halores. What was the point of infecting the biological Caleb with the parasites if he is simply killed by Halores’ men rendering thus him useless? How could the parasite have any effect on him after he was revived in a host (non-biological) body and neural processor?

Also, if the plan is to use Maeve’s overvoltage powers to destroy the tower infrastructure and all the currently infected humans, how will that also eliminate the surviving flies that would still be able to pass on the parasite?

Let me know if you can help,
