Radioactive Decay
I find Dr. Manhattan to be one of the least intriguing gods in sci fi. Q from Star Trek is better and I hate Q. Dr. Manhattan is an inconsistent understanding of a concept. He is both apart and a part of the human experience, a part and parcel. This last episode was great tv but it could have been fifteen minutes of screen time. God tells a woman he loves her because of a larger purpose. Girl falls for it and gets emotional. God disappears the kids and gives girl everything he has and everything he is (in a pool). Talk about alimony.
