Resetting Hosts After Death Or Sleep?

Hey Guys,

Hope you’re all well.

So latest episode, I loved it but it left me a little confused as to how the Hosts loops and memories function.

In season 1 we see Dolores on her mission with William. This takes more than one day and the implication is the sleeps at least two nights that I remember off the top of my head. She does not wake up each day wondering where she is and why she is not on the homestead. She clearly retains her memories.

This is reinforced with Ake in the latest episode. Unless he dies he retains his memories of what he did the day before etc.

So the Hosts when on their loops each day assuming they don’t die…..why do they wake up all ground hog day with no recollection of the previous day?? The hosts in the Mariposa repeat the same conversations with each other every day even if they don’t die. I’m assuming not every client had his wicked way and decides to go all black hat.
