Ok so I’ve been trying to figure out a way to explain this, and think I can put it in words. All these theories about man in black being host I call BS and here’s why

Everyone’s question why all of a sudden man in Black in nice to Lawrence and has done this “good dead” first of all let’s not pretend all of a sudden he’s back to white hat William but it does make some sense as to why he did this

First, think about William when we saw him in season one. White hat, totally lost in the beauty of west world, falling in love with Deloris. It isn’t until Logan basically shatters his dream tell him point blank dude they’re robots, u can do whatever you want to them, we’re invisible.

He then goes crazy and we see how he turned form white hat to black hat. Wouldn’t it make sense that now that he’s gotten what he’s wanted all this time( for the hosts to be conscience, for there to be real stakes in this game, for him and the hosts to possible live their lasts days in the park as equals, for there to be a chance that now that they’re ‘awake’ you could find love with a host?) that now his arc is coming Full circle?

We’ve witnessed the change from white hat to black, maybe we’re seeing it all come full circle and go from black back to white?

I don’t know, I just don’t think he’s a host.. we can’t assume that once someone does something out of character they’re all of a sudden deemed a robot. This is the most human thing we could have seen the man in Black do, have compassion.
