Sam the Man

Hey Guys,

I wanted to address some things about Sam this Season. People have said that it wasn’t believable, that Sam couldn’t have healed Jora so easily, which people have assumed by the way Sam says, “I just read the instructions.” Consider this, we don’t know what language the scrolls were in, or how difficult they are to accurately translate. Sam isn’t a good fighter, but maybe when it comes to reading, transcribing, and translating Sam has a natural gift that hasn’t been seen in a long time, Like Jora being the first person to be healed from Greyscale, defying the meisters claim it couldn’t be done(I dunno how shit is fucken spelled, sue me), just like the wall coming down, which the Meisters also instisted would stand. I believe Jora’s survival was a sign that the Meister’s could be wrong, and it was a crucial plot point as it forshadowed things to come previously thought impossible.

We’ve seen many people with innate talents that are almost superhuman, is Sam’s natural skill as a meister that much of a stretch. Also, you mentioned when Sam is grabbing the Scrolls and running to Winterfield he Seemed to be grabbing in far to reach places and not really looking at what he was taking. Is it not possible that Sam has been locating the Scrolls since he got there, and hiding them in hard to reach places for just such an occasion. How likely are those feeble sacks of bones to get up one of those ladders.

Love the show, What’s Next?

P.S. Did you think it was odd the night king didn’t sacrifice a white walker to take out the white they took to Kingslanding, seemed like an easy move for him, but maybe he just didn’t give a shit. Thoughts?
