Shallow view of Manhattan

I am quite shocked that for all you guys’ nerdiness, you continue to have such a shallow views of a tv show based on a comic book. From the beginning Lindelof has been saying that this is a REMIX. Like how in one Xmen timeline, Magneto is the X-men’s biggest adversary and in another he’s the leader of the school. A character being shown in a different light than when they were first introduced is not uncommon. It’s actually quintessential comic book storytelling. So to say Dr. Manhattan wouldn’t fall in love or that him giving everything up to be with Angela is unrealistic, is actually shortsighted of you. People change. Maybe the other two women weren’t the love of his life and Angela is. Either way, you have to wipe everything you think you know about these characters away and ingest this version of them that’s being presented. This show is like when you ask two different people to tell you their version of the same event and you’re gonna get two different stories. Somewhat similar but with many variants in details. It doesn’t make one right or wrong. Or good or bad. It’s just different angles at looking at characters from a familiar story, in this case.
