I just love you guys. I mean, I don’t have to agree with you to love you and to think you do a fantabulous job. I like feeling like I am talking with friends about a show I like. So, I am sorry that the first time that I ever took the time to write it was a criticism. That was not very cool of me. And I’d like to redact most of my complaint and apologize for not being more supportive in my comments! Last week’s deep dive podcast was very in line with all of my talking points about the show. It was thoughtful and in depth and I found myself shaking my head in agreement a whole lot more. So I’m sorry. Maybe my thyroid medication was off last week and I was a bit too agitated. I’m sorry. Lord knows you can’t be all things to all people. Kudos to you for even trying to meet any whack expectations. Ash, I just want to point out something about the shoe sodomy scene. I think one of the points is what anyone will do when they have a little devil on their shoulder egging them on like Ruby had in this episode. She had the power of whiteness and then someone feeding her already judgemental character; then throw in the attack on her coworker and violence is then justified in her mind. Eye for an eye – rape for a rape… She couldn’t expose him to anyone? That would solve nothing. There is no justice that way. If she told him she saw him, he would be embarrassed, but not afraid. She had to take his power away from him. She had to make him fear. Or that is what she came to the conclusion. That is my take anyway. I thought it was difficult to watch, I thought it was powerful and I thought it had purpose. It wasn’t gratuitous. So, as with the many other atrocities in this show, I am on board. I’d love to hear you guys talk about each characters Jekyl & Hyde experience because I think each one had one! That theme was so clear throughout!
