Rog, Big D, Gene –

I hope you guys are doing well. Below is one Spoiler, so if you do not want to know a particular plot line, please do not read further. I have also included two theories.

First, I would like to revisit my theory from last season regarding Ghost Nation. In a November 16, 2016 email, I speculated that “Ghost Nation” was a group of hosts that Ford designed to protect the park. You guys read my email on the Telegraph and shit on the idea (no pun intended).

Well, you guys finally came around. On the Instacast last night, Big D suggested that Ghost Nation may actually protect the park and guests. Nolan and Joy deceptively lead the viewer to believe Ghost Nation is a threat to guests and hosts. We have never seen Ghost Nation hurt a guest or a host (it is in Maeve’s dream that Ghost Nation kills her daughter; it is entirely possible that the flash back is a only a dream and the reality is the Man in Black murdered Maeve’s daughter). Ghost Nation captured Stubbs and now Ghost Nation will capture the woman who washed up on the shore. Most notably, Nolan and Joy lead the viewer to believe Ghost Nation intended to harm Hector, Maeve, and Siezemore without any evidence. Perhaps Ghost Nation was merely trying to lead them to safety as they did with Stubbs and they will with the woman who defeated the tiger. It was Hector, Maeve, and Siezemore that ran from Ghost Nation. Even if Ghost Nation did murder Maeve’s daughter, Ghost Nation is now interested in protecting Maeve (and her family) because she does not want to destroy the park rather she is interested in promoting free will rather than Dolores’ approached of burning down the park.

Spoiler Alert. Last chance:

Multiple Bernards. The Official Trailer of Westworld Season 2 reveals Charlotte Hale in a cold storage unit with multiple Bernards:

Hale is wearing the same outfit that she changed into when the “Black-Suit-Bernard” and her escape to the underground facility (Section 14) during Episode One of Season Two. I refer to Bernard as “Black-Suit-Bernard” because following the board of directors event and leading up to this scene, Bernard wears a black suit and a black tie. We never see Bernard change into his brown outfit that we see in Episodes 1-3 of Season Two. It is entirely possible that Bernard swapped outfits in the Section 14 Facility. However, this would be horrendous storytelling. Nolan and Joy go out of their way to illustrate Hale changes into a new Western outfit. More importantly, they demonstrate Bernard is unstable to the point he physically cannot stand and has a substantially tremulous hand. The viewer would have to assume Bernard was able to repair himself, regain composure, and change into this brown outfit off screen while the viewer witnesses a cogent Charlotte Hale devise a plan and change into a Western outfit on screen. Attached are two screen shots of “Black-Suit-Bernard” and the “Brown-Suit-Bernard.” What are your thoughts?

Man In Black *May* Be a Host
Someone previously mentioned in a Podcast: there is evidence that Man in Black is a host. Maeve repairs Hector’s bullet wounds with same tool The Man in Black repairs his bullet wounds in the bar with Lawrence during Episode One Season Two (see attached pictures). Nolan and Joy immediately draw attention to this tool in the Maeve/Hector scene and draw attention away from it using the Man in Black’s conversation with Lawrence. It is entirely possible that technology advancements lead to medical treatment capable of healing both hosts and humans. HOWEVER, if this is true, lab-techs such as Felix or Sylvester could heal an injured guest or a human who sustained a gun shot as quickly as they repair hosts. More to the point this would reduce the fear of injury or even taking a bullet. If this technology cannot heal both hosts and humans, why did The Man in Black hide a first aide kit with equipment capable of healing a host?

Keep up the great work. Looking forward to your thoughts.
