I did a podcast search for the Watchmen last week and I happened upon yours. I’m trying to binge listen, but it’s hard for me to find time these days. This series is the first I’ve heard of Shat on TV. You guys are great. I look forward to listening...
Hi guys Was listening to your latest podcast about how Dr Manhattan created his version of an garden of Eden on Europa, and that Mr Phillips and Ms Crookshanks are his Adam and Eve. Got me thinking of the Tomato tree, when tomatoes were first bought back to Europe in...
Guys Dr Manhattan has already passed on his powers. Have you forgotten that in episode one their adopted kid was levitating his toys. Who has Cal / Jon been cooking all those eggs for? Love the pods. Keep up the good work Gino
Hi Guys Just want to say thanks. Roge, King Bee & Gene you provide a wonderful compliment to the show. You’ve increased my enjoyment of the show (which is already pretty high) after watching the show I can’t wait to hear your thoughts. From Gene’s theorizing, Roge’s biblical waxing and...
Episode 8, “A God Walks into A Bar.” A Watchmen Deep Dive told in three acts. Act 1: Gene Lyons, a man who took two semesters of physics at Arizona State University, attempts to explain the string theory and bootstrap paradox of Dr. Manhattan’s existence while also arguing that Will Reeves destroyed Cyclops on his own. Act 2: Non-practicing Catholic Roger Roeper proves, once again, that any major TV character can be connected to Jesus Christ if you try hard enough. He also examines gods vs. men playing gods as he compares the archetypes presented in Ozymandias and Dr. Manhattan. Act 3: The King Bee explores what Adrian Veidt’s persecution in the post-credits scenes tells us about Europa and Veidt’s motivations. Oh, and he takes a stab at the horseshoe thing. It’s pretty good.
Hey guys, this is Cody O’Brien again. Thank you guys for featuring my theory on last week’s newsstand episode. It was cool hearing your thoughts on it. Now I’d hate to say it, but I wasn’t a fan of Episode 8. I was actually surprised to hear that you guys...
2 questions that need to be answered… 1. Why doesn’t Angela know about the meeting between Dr. M and Hooded Justice? She should have experienced it when she was under the influence of nostalgia. 2. Why is the Game Warden different (personality) than the other Phillips on Europa? I’m assuming...
After another rewatch (i really liked this episode) i realize my wanting of the powers to go to Laurie wont happen because Dr. Manhattan loves Angela, the story is about Angela, and he probably threw his powers into an egg for her to eat. It makes sense. I get it....
