Telegraph – Ep. 4
Long time listener, love the show and all of the high quality tin-foil theories that you guys put in my head.
Now it my turn, though. My main theory is around the mystery behind the human/host hybrid (or whatever the hell it is) that Ford has Bernard help create in the mystery outpost. Now whoever this hybrid is based on is clearly important to Ford and possibly to his new narrative(s) that seem to be in full swing in the park.
Or maybe the hybrid is important to someone’s game. Specifically, the MIB. What if the host that Ford has Bernard create is a well refined clone of Grace.
What better way to completely mind-fuck someone so well-versed in the person-cloning business than William? Remember, if you’re looking forward, then you’re looking in the wrong direction. Well I’d say a daughter who felt the first-hand fallout of a family due to a Westworld-addicted billionaire is firmly in the rear view mirror.
This could also push William back to the “doorway” he originally stepped through to get to the park. Over the course of the season, William and robo-Grace could grow very close and maybe end up in a dire situation, potentially a showdown w/ Delores, where William feels the deep, character shattering loss of “losing his daughter” in the park which could send him into a deep existential awakening (sound familiar, Maeve??). Losing his daughter and/or realizing its just a robo-daughter could send William B-lining to the original doorway to go back to the real world and mend his relationship with his real daughter in order to fully complete a character arc and also help William hang up the black hat.
Would love to hear your all’s thoughts.
Thanks,
David
