Thank You

Hey guys,

I was actually going to write this morning before I saw the discussion in the Discord channel, but that just encouraged me more. Not gonna lie, it’s been kind of a gut punch week here. Short version, I got diagnosed with a form of cancer. I don’t say that looking for sympathy or anything like that (not my style at all), but merely as perspective. I wound up listening to the deep dive last night lying in bed after a biopsy, really happy for an hour (well more like 40 mins cuz I listen to everything sped up lol) to not think about my leg hurting after having a big frickin needle stuck in it. I know this whole thing is a hobby/labor of love for y’all and that you’ve taken a lot of heat esp for this show. But this is just a little reminder to never doubt that what you do IS important… even if it’s just providing a couple of hours of distraction to someone who needs it. Anyway, looking forward to Shappyhour tonight… can’t drink but I might be high on Oxy (legally… one nice thing about cancer docs, they don’t bat an eyelash when you ask about pain meds lol).
