Thanks And Theory

Hey guys,

Thanks for featuring me on the pod! The day I heard you read my letter, I found out I’ll be on Jeopardy! in a couple months. You guys are my good luck charm!

Brilliant breakdown this week. Here’s where I’m at after listening:

After Isabel loses her daughter, she’s so devastated she makes contact with Hoyt’s biological daughter-JULIE. Daddy Hoyt enables this bizarre affection, justifying it along the following lines: 1) He’s giving Julie the creature comforts she lacks at home 2) She is, like Isabel’s the lost child, his biological descendant, and so he sees himself to having a claim to her 3) It’s the only thing that can-at least at first-aid his daughters bereft insanity. Over time, Isabel’s affection deepens, becoming a worrying fixation, eventually leading to an attempted kidnapping, which results in Will’s death. Ol’ Teddy will basically attempt to rationalize his choices to Wayne in the car, before telling him there’s nothing he can do to make any of this right-except, Wayne realizes, to find Julie.

Still lots of questions left to be answered, especially about how Emilia and Rebecca’s fates intersect with this critical moment in the case. Can’t wait to watch!
