The Fate Of Teddy And The MIB

Hey Guys,

Great episode of the podcast covering the finale, but theres a couple of points I’d like to address that you got wrong.

With regards to the pearls in Delores/Hales bag, one of them cannot be Teddy as she uploaded him to The Forge before sending the data out into… space(?) and we know that once they are uploaded their brains become “virgin brains” so they cant exist in two places at once.

Also, this interview with Lisa Joy confirms that the post credits scene with William is set way, way, way into the future and isn’t him going crazy.

So what happened to William between his hand being shot of and being picked up by the final QA team? I think that once his gun backfired, he just lay there until he was rescued. The scene with him descending into the elevator, although it looked like it was the same time as Delores being there, was actually the first glimpse into the far, far future when he was being tested for fidelity.

Everything in the park actually happened, but William is later recreated and runs that story loop over and over.

If the “casual” viewers of Lost thought that the church scene meant they were in purgatory all along (they weren’t, that scene was far into the future) then I can only assume that “casual” viewers of Westworld will think something similar with William and assume that he was always a host, which isn’t not the case.

I look forward to your podcast for Season 3 in a couple of years, and in the meantime, i think Ill checkout Shat The Movies ??

Big love from the UK.

PS. Your idea of the virus infected Maeve’s crew and Maeve sacrificing herself to stop it would have made a much better scene than what actually happened. Good work.
