Everyone is out of character.

1. Drogon burning the chair instead of Jon? I hate forced poetic justice. It makes zero sense. 2. Unsullied and the Dothraki not raising hell after the queen that they have followed of their own will was literally assassinated? They just fuck off to Naarth without demanding justice? Tyrion or Jon should be dead. At least that would have made sense and would be the natural poetic justice of being a “sacrifice” for peace.

Let”s talk about Tyrion.

I think we can all agree that Tyrion”s shitty decisions have caused a lot of Dany”s loss. 2 dragons and half her forces. On top of that, he continued trying to “save” his sister. Dany gave him a chance to speak to his own sister about sending forces to help with the fight against the Night King and he was the fool that was tricked. She allowed him to beg Cersei to surrender for the people and what does Cersei do? Kill Missandei. Dany has allowed Tyrion every chance to make peace and realized there was literally no other way.

Additionally, why should she even keep trusting Tyrion anyway? He”s shown that he”s got a soft spot for his family. She literally baited him and told him about Jamie being caught. This idiot, CHOSE his Lannister brother by freeing him and CHOSE to conspire against Dany to sneak out Jamie and Cersei from the keep. He betrayed her for his family and confirmed to Dany that he can not be trusted. So, with that said, why should she trust him when he kept talking about the bells?

The bells, the bells, the bells.

Remember that story in the book?

In the book, there was a Battle of the Bells where essentially, Robert Baratheon was wounded after Battle of Ashford and goes to Stoney Sept.

Jon Connington, the hand of the king at that point, ordered his soldiers to search for Robert. The townspeople were hiding Robert and Jon did not want to sack and kill the “innocents” so he delayed destroying the city in favor of sending his soldiers to just look for Robert.

This delay allowed Eddard Stark and Hoster Tully”s force the time to arrive and when they did, the town bells were rang to warn the small folk to stay indoors because the Battle was going to happen on the streets.

This was a turning point in this rebellion. But the point is, if Jon Connington did not delay and just literally sacked the whole city and killed everyone, he could have found Robert Baratheon and the rebellion would have been done there.

For all Dany knows, the bells could have been a trap.

Cersei didn’t care about her people. If Dany had her army back down, go towards the red keep in peace after the bell has been rung, it is not far fetched for Cersei to have literally blown everyone up with the wildfire under the city.

From Tyrion”s betrayal, It”s not a reach for her to think that Tyrion has been working with Cersei this whole time to set this trap up. After all, Tyrion has obviously chosen his family over her.

But yeah, let”s reward him for his literal treachery by making him hand of the king.

What utter bullshit.

My biggest worry during “The Bells” was Dany stopping when the bells rang and being caught in some sort of trap or forfeiting victory to some surprise force. Totally agree.
