Theory About Ghost Nation

Hi Shat on TV Crew,

I am sure everyone has a lot of theory’s flying around with the release of S02, and they are probably emailing them to you; that being said, I would love your opinion about this:

I believe Ghost Nation is owned and controlled by Delos Inc., and not by Westworld.

The first reason I believe this is because Mr. Head of Security as we discovered right off the bat is alive. It was initially presumed, or at least portrayed that he was being attacked, or something with malicious intent. Since he is alive and helping with the rescue mission, it is a decent enough assumption that he was pulled out by Delos via Ghost Nation. The only thing pushing against this is that we are missing the storyline of what happened to him after this encounter, but I am sure this will be revealed this season.

Another reason to assume Ghost Nation is controlled by Delos is that in the first season, we see Ghost Nation killing everyone else off first, before turning their attention to MiB, a Delos Investor. That is peculiar behavior.

Third – Why would the rescue team purposefully look at Ghost Nation’s “brain”? There were a bunch of other host’s I am sure they could have looked at. Instead, they went directly to a ghost nation’s head. Almost as if GN’s “brain” is a more reliable source of info compared to the others. We also only have seen Ghost Nation acting on their own up until this connection.

Delores also finds a difference between GN and WW hosts. When she shoots down that one GN member, she says to him, “I told you friend, not all of us deserve to make it to the Valley Beyond.” It appears she can recognize a difference in GN hosts compared to others.

By looking through the last season, I do not believe Westworld Admin ever knew about Ghost Nation. And as we discovered with Bernard, Charlotte, and the “Guest DNA Collection Facility”, Westworld has a lot of stuff going on in it that not even top brass Westworld admins know about; Only Delos.

For all the reason’s listed above, I believe GN was placed in WW, and maybe the other parks as well to be a sort of behind the lines spy for Delos. It would make sense;:Ford and Delos did not see eye to eye at all. Hhaving someone in the park that was controlled by Delos could help ensure whatever plans they may have.

I would love to hear what you guys think about this.

Best,
Andrew Arbogast

Westworld always knew about ghost nation. There’s even scenes in season 1 with GN characters being created and presented to Ford. Also, discoverwestworld.com has always had the ghost nation territory on the map in the explore category.

Remember Sizemore smashes one in the face in a design lab because he hated the nose? And they are in his presentation to Ford and Ford rejects the story he’s written? WW builds them, writes their stories, but I think they have a different relationship with the park; they remember the cleanup crew making dolls resembling them and have the maze literally inside their heads. I can’t wait to learn more!

I like it! Now can you connect that to Maeve’s initial loop?
