Hey Guys,

Big fan of the podcast- definitely enhanced the viewing experienced.

I loved the season two finale LOVED IT! Has to be one of the best hour and half of television I’ve ever watched.

Here are my final thoughts on the season 2 and the finale:

– Dolores becoming Charlotte- WOW!! WOW!! WOW!! Never saw that coming…

– The twist with Bernard bringing back Dolores Charlotte and then needing to scramble his memories so Delos wouldn’t find out definitely paid off for me. How dare I doubt you Westworld with your all timeline confusion. For one brief moment season season two made total sense to me last night. It was when Bernard was giving his monologue on the beach and realized that he imagined Dr. Ford in his mind and it his on voice he was hearing. It was a very brief fleeting moment of total comprehension, and if I think about it too hard and try to explain it that comprehension will disappear. I think sometimes viewers and critics start overthinking the show and it just ruins it for them. Just sit back and enjoy it. You don’t need to understand every little detail. You only need to see the big picture movements and swings. If you need to understand every little detail you will drive yourself insane. You don’t need to understand how instruments work to enjoy your favorite song playing on the radio. You just enjoy the song. I like cinema in which not every little detail needs to be spelled out and explained to you. For me leaving some vagueness feels more like art and a truthful representation of real life. I was completely satisfied with the explanations received in the finale.

– Sizemore dying so Maeve can escape… Lee grew some balls… awesome…

– Thought Dolores had a little bit of a redemption arc in the finale when Charlotte killed Elsie and Bernard realized that the hosts need Dolores…Dolores has her strengths… I’m starting to warm up to Dolores especially after she recreated Bernard after escaping…

– Dolores telling the Man In Black after finding him digging into his arm – “Looks like you have been questioning the nature of your reality?” OMG- Awesome and hilarious!!!

– Glad the finale didn’t spend too much time on the Man In Black…I’m not that interested in the mystery as to whether he is a host or not…. don’t find it that exciting. For me the most interesting plot development in Westworld is the creation of the hosts as a new species, their awakening to conscious, and their conflict with humanity. I just find that fascinating, but I’ve always loved science fiction.

– I’m sure you guys caught that I believe the Man In Black went down into the forge, but you never see what he did in the forge, you just see him getting rescued. Curious as if I’m interpreting that correctly. It seemed like the show left a mystery as to what the Man in Black did in the forge.

I could go on and on, but again really enjoyed this season, love the podcast it definitely added to my viewing experience, and I really like where the direction of the show is heading for the next season with Dolores and Bernard outside of the park,

Best,
David P. from Tampa
