Three Time Periods/Bernard

Hey guys,

I am a new listener to the show (started with “The Adversary”) so you may have talked about this before and I missed it.

But I believe that the show so far has shown us three different time periods.

Present being Man in Black, 30 years ago with William and Logan, and just before the “Critical Failure” where Bernard (Arnold) is interviewing Dolores. My reasons are that Bernard interviews her in a place that looks very similar to Arnold & Ford’s private lab that before this episode current Bernard didn’t know about. Dolores also is wearing clothes during these interviews which could be a reason why Ford doesn’t allow the Tech to cover them because the original Arnold got to close (or similar problem).

My biggest piece of evidence now has a little credence after last night but I think that when Dr. Ford showed Bernard the “picture” of Arnold he was doing so to test his code much like Bernard does with Hector. I believe that Bernard (as Arnold when picture was taken) is in the picture in that awkward space on the right.

This would make sense if his host “Dad” really was a gift from Arnold and that picture was of Arnold giving him that gift. If this is true, then Arnold is trying to guide Dolores to consciousness is a previous time period and it goes awry (maybe Ford finds out or just wants power, kills Arnold, and replaces him with Bernard in Theresa-esqe fashion) then with William and Logan it is the culmination of his guidance a few years/months later.
