Hey, guys!

It’s Georgia from Australia, back with another theory.

So I’ve never subscribed to the multiple timeline theory or the man in black = William theory. Admittedly I may have rolled my eyes when you guys talked about it, purely because I thought there was too much tin foil involved. For that, I apologize. Because this week’s episode has completely confirmed the multiple timelines and man in black = William theories. And they’ve done it with the reveal of one woman/host!

When the man in black and Teddy stumble across Angela (the host that welcomed William at his arrival), the man in black says, “It’s you. I figured they’d retired you. I guess Ford never likes to waste a pretty face.” With this line, I had a Eureka moment. We’re definitely seeing two timelines, of two different host rebellions. The first timeline is William aka the man in black with Dolores. This also confirms the Bernarnold theory, if there really is two timelines, as it’s definitely Arnold, not Bernard that is talking to her. I believe that this timeline with Dolores and William is before the ‘incident’ that happened 30 years ago. This would make sense, as the hosts we’ve seen featured with them have been the older models and older narratives.

William must be the man in black because when the MiB talks to Ford, he says that he was instrumental in not letting the ‘incident’ take down the entire park. I think the second timeline is the MiB, Ford and Bernard, and Maeve’s timeline. This storyline would work well in the show because of the contrast between the two host rebellions/incidents that William/MiB were both a part of.

The MiB knowing who Angela is, and believing she must have been retired after the incident would make the two timeline theory make perfect sense. William would have no reason but to believe after a big host incident, the host that greeted him would have been sent to cold storage.

It seems to all be coming together for me now! What do you guys think?
