Watchmen must be rewatched

Hey Guys,

Great mailbox episode this week. I re-watched episode 2 last night and wanted to share something I noticed. There is a scene where Cal is dressed as a ghost playing with the kids. Angela enters the scene and one of the kids says, “I’m an owl, he’s a pirate. We caught a ghost on our ship and we’re gonna make him walk the plank.” Angela replies, “be sure to put rocks in his pocket so he sinks to the bottom.”

I fucking love this show. Each new episode reveals things you probably didn’t, or could’t, pick up on the first viewing of a previous episode. It’s almost like with every new episode you can again re-re-watch old episodes and learn or notice something knew each time.

I know shows have done this before, but not to this extent. I think I’ve watched the first two episodes 7 or 8 times, and each time it seems to get better. Like when Angela is in her bakery after finding Judd hanging she breaks down and cries in the weapons cage. After watching what she has gone through since she was a child you really feel sympathetic in a way you just couldn’t upon the first viewing.
