Westworld

My name is Julie, and I discovered your Westworld podcast earlier this season. I think it’s amazing, so thanks for providing us with great entertainment every week.

I just had an interesting conversation with my husband about Bernard at the beach in S2E1, when he finishes Karl Strands sentence. Maybe this is obvious, but we just realized that the reason Bernard is able to do that, might be because he has visited the forge: Karl Strand has probably been a guest in Westworld at some point, and thus has a profile in the forge. So when Bernard visits the forge he gets all kinds of information on the guests profiles, including Strands, and therefore is able to anticipate what Karl Strand might say (kind of like a how we see how Maeves words are put together on the tablet back in season 1). This might also be why Bernard seems so weird (confused?) in the first episode of the season, because of all the forge-information.

We’ll probably, and hopefully, find out if this is the case or not in the season finale.
