Hearing of papa Delos and Abernathy I think you got very close in discussion but didn’t absolutely connect the dots. You mentioned the suicide and if William did something bad it could cause that rift. I think they faked out papa Delos – he went to intake for the procedure – thinking he was gonna get places in a new papa Delos body. But then evil William says ‘fuck it- put him on Dolores dad’ as a mind fuck – so his father in law would now be playing the role of his synthetic girlfriend. He came home and told his wife there was a mistake and the procedure didn’t work. Then later she finds out that it was Williams doing. Not really seriously backing this myself but it was a step further that I saw that was worth exploring.

Additionally regarding big d’s arnold=AI thoughts – then why would he be showing Dolores the house he bought for his family in China?! That just doesn’t make any sense – it’s one of the only things that I think could not be explained to back that theory.
