Westworld Assumption?

I don’t necessarily have a deep theory about anything that’s going on in the show but I have a lingering question. We’ve been assuming that the first incident that is getting discussed is from when Bernard program Dolores to kill all the hosts and himself but what if that isn’t the incident they’re talking about?It’s an assumption that we’ve all been living with and basing our timelines upon.I’m racking my brain to try and figure out if there’s a definitive mention during season one that that is the incident and I can’t remember one.

As an aside I’d like to throw the idea that when Bernard is showing Dolores his future house in the city that all those blocks with the weird pattern on them maybe a reference to Minecraft.
