Westworld Ponderings

Hi all,

Let me get this out the way I am a big fan listen to all the westworld pods and also love shatthemovies.

I have had a few thoughts one of the recent ones is about the comment that Dolores being programmed to love her “daddy” and saying that’s an indication that she is still running her loop but in my eyes it’s a sign she might not be. Her most recent daddy wasn’t the original Peter that she wants to save. So either she is bonded with this daddy or it’s maybe a deeper program to stop the info in him getting out.

My other thoughts are to do with the whole when you wake up everything before has just been a memory. There is a belief one I semi buy into that the world was created last Thursday (Last Thursdayism) it’s mostly a take on the fundamental belief that the world is 6000 years old and everything before that was created to make it look like things are older. So if that can be true then who is to say that the world wasn’t just created last Thursday. Slightly off topic but it deals with you can never really be sure what happened and if it really did happen or not. Also along similar lines is the 1998 film dark city when this happens every day to experiment with memories and nature verses nurture. I don’t want to spoil the movie in case you haven’t seen it yet and want to do a shat on it.(hint hint). That’s all keep up the great work and bye for now.
