I was watching Season2 episode 2. At time stamp 27 mins. When MIB is talking with Lawerance. He asked Lawerance if Ford saddled him with the affiliction of religion. Then he gones on to say that if Lawerance were in the real world then religion would serve a purpose to keep him in line and prevent him from killing his neighbor. William says Westworld has judged him, as a persecution type personality with psycopathic tendencies (I may not be exactly correct on that). Williams thinks they are wrong, because he did what he did in the park for the last 30 years becasue there were no consequences for the Guests. The stakes were not real. But now they are real, and he is seeking and appeal of his judgement. He is saying he would act differently if he were in the park and the stakes were real If the hosts actually died.
He says Wetworld was created so man could come and sin without Judgement. But Judegement was not the purpose of the park. It was something else. Now we know it was collecting Guest DATA for the immortality project held in the FORGE. I think MIB sees the immortality project as being wrong, becasuse it got him wrong. It got the brutal side of him. Not the caring, loving side that the outside world sees. Thus the project is flawed in its assesment of people. So MIB wants to burn the project to the ground. It’s his biggest mistake. It’s like judging a football player by only his on field demeanor, but his off the field actions as well.
