Hey guys,

So I was just listening to your deep dive and I have a bit of a theory about the horseshoe.

Imagine you’re the smartest man in the world and you’ve come to the realization that the free will of humans, as counter intuitive as I may seem, is their ultimate demise.

So you construct this elaborate squid plan to force them (against free will) to bind together and not kill the earth and all of humanity. You succeed. And are now bored.

Your entire life’s work is to save the world and you dream of a utopian world. Boom you’re given this world and you realize damn this world is also shitty and boring. His servants do whatever he wants and he’s so bored bored of it. He decides I’m going to gift them what ultimately will be their destruction. Free will. So his new purpose is not to stop human free will from becoming the demise of man, but rather free will becoming his salvation. So he spends all these years on Europa trying to force free will on these beings. He could have easily just asked them to bake the horseshoe into the cake. But he wanted them to do it by their own free will. And his excitement isn’t that he got the horseshoe to break out but it’s that his master plan has worked and they did it. They made the choice to save him against their programming. And that will be their downfall and his plan was a success.

OR

The horseshoe was simple a gift from the Eve version of Crookshanks, which he have not yet seen. Just in the same way that the game warden is the Adam version of Phillips. Seemingly smarter than the other versions.

Can’t wait to see what happens next.
