What Was the Point of Maeve?

Hello Shat Hosts,

Hopefully, you can provide clarity to something that troubled me in the last episode.

What was the purpose of digging up and resurrecting Maeve if they just killed her in the next scene? The writers built her up to be a weapon that’s needed to take down the tower and she does nothing besides win a fight against Hale.

The payoff wasn’t there and was reminiscent of Bran becoming the King of Westeros because of his stories. William did more to take down the tower by mocking his doppleganger. Bernard’s plan should’ve been to free William so he could run around and roast Hale and discount Man in Black all season. Like last night’s payoff I have no germain thoughts other than criticizing the writers.

Please consider watching and shatting on The Expanse. It’s well done and dives into the politics of different governments, racial injustices and a primer to how people could adapt to space with great visuals.

Thank you for your time.

With warm regards,
Eugene
