Why I Don’t Think William Could Be A Host

The Man In Black narrative in Season 1 was based on his pursuit of the maze and what it means. In the end he learns from Delores and Laurence’s daughter that “the maze was not meant for you” which I interpreted to mean that it was only a model that has meaning to hosts and not guests. It would be a contradiction IMHO to then have him discover he was a host whose path to sentience was indeed modelled on Arnold’s epiphany based on Charlie’s toy.
