WW – An Interesting Twist On The Turing Test?

As the weeks are progressing, I am convinced season 2 should be renamed from “The Door” to the “The Test” aka The Turing or Fidelity Test.

As you probably know, the Turing test was developed by Alan Turing, who was the father of computing – an amazing but very sad story. In 1950 he designed a test that through conversations between a machine and a person, that the person could not tell based on the conversation he is talking with a machine….a great example being when William first arrives in WW and asks Angelia if she is a host.

The interesting thing in season 2, it is the “machines/host” that are instigating a type of Turing test to test if fellow hosts are “awake” or have the ability to be….Dolores on Teddy, Maeve on Akane and Ford on Bernard.

Also we have got some human initiated testing – William with Daddy “Give ma Whiskey” Delos. Also it will be interesting to see if we are going to see Grimily do a test on the MIB before the end of the season??
