Hi guys,

Great idea to preview this show’s second season. Can’t wait. You asked for ideas/theories, so here’s a couple of them:

Is Dr. Ford still alive? In mid-Season 1, he makes a remark about the early bots: He said “they could give themselves away with a simple handshake.” Well, when he bids good bye to Bernard in episode 10, he offers a very stiff and un-human like handshake to him, it was quite awkward on the re-watch.

Could it be that the bot that we can see being made during the mid-season in Dr. Ford’s private office actually be a replicant of him? If so did the replicant, not Dr. Ford, give the farewell speech to the board? Did Ford do this to let the Delos Corp. think he is dead, but he lives on, maybe in hiding?

Or, did he, like Arnold, embed himself in the new bot, in order to achieve immortality in the bot world? Both Arnold and Dr. Ford express detest for the human guests. So perhaps his plan was to live on as a bot, and he wanted to join up with the dear friend, Arnold, whom he misses so much?

Second theory: Is Stubbs a bot? This is based on the fact that he appears to be directing action in the park when young William visits for the first time – 30 years ago – and again when old William (black hat) is on his latest trip in the “today” timeline. Stubbs looks exactly the same in both sequences…he has not appeared to age in 30 years. Ford has aged noticeably, but not a line or wrinkle for Stubbs. So he’s a bot, I think. I could be wrong.

Anyway, thanks for a great podcast. Ron, High Springs, FL
