As Gene said, gaps leave space for investigation and debate. “I just wish she said, ‘And that’s why I didn’t do X, because [plausible explanation Y].'” What would that really add? We can already see Y, as well as other possibilities, without adding extra exposition dialog. What they COULD add is more times when a character has to make a choice she didn’t think she would have to make or be able to make. Those moments build real characters, as they did to some extent for Charlotte this season. Maeve and Caleb (and Bernard) may have had good reasons to wait until they knew more before making a big move, but it would have been cool to see them having to make more (active) choices along the way. Dolores didn’t micro manage-they could have responded to things individually-but it didn’t really come up. Do you think Rehoboam wanted to be deactivated?
