Alternate Timelines or Bat Shit Crazy

Hey guys it’s Matt from New Jersey! First I just want to say we love listening to the podcast during these times. My 8 month old daughter loves Ashley voice because she starts to laugh like crazy when she talks. It also gets my wife through her day as a nurse during these crazy times.

Anyway, I am not that smart like the other listeners who write in so I don’t have an over complicated theory. My thoughts are this though.

I believe we are watching a film right now in the presentation of everything. There is no real alternate timelines like people are going to say or have said. I believe everything we are seeing is the set up to get to the point of episode 5. The show needed to establish everything in the first 4 episodes so we the viewer can have the answers to the questions we are seeking. This is seen when William is committed because we saw early Charlotte getting the votes from an A.I. with the board and the board not opposing her. This also goes into what William says to Charlotte when Charlotte is complaining of being late. William says let me be late I built this company they fear me, or something similar. Sorry for not having the exact quote. This shows the set up of how Charlotte has the control she has. I believe the way the show is going about establishing the story is great because it is answering questions in a timely matter.

Now my last point, we saw Sorock as a boy talking about Paris. In a trailer is shows divergent 10/9/2025 in Pairs. At the end of the trailer it says unknown divergent 2/27/2058. But before i get to that, one more date shown is 4/17/39 system goes online. So 14 years after Pairs the system is created and goes online. I more or less don’t have theory but just pointing out the dates. As i said early, Pairs is 2025 so that means Sorock would maybe be 12/13 years old. Then 14 years later the system goes online which means he would be around 27. Now when 2058 comes that’s now 33 years after pairs has happened and only 19 years after the system has gone online. To me it all seems so accelerated and it seems Sorock should be younger not older. Maybe he is a simulation maybe he’s a host. Who knows but diving into the trailer and just looking at the dates and examining screen shots, to some people’s dismay….just kidding, it doesn’t seem to add up. We have 4 episodes left to see what happens and I’m looking forward to it. I can’t wait until Sunday to see what’s going to happen because the action is gearing up. Love the story this year of Westworld and love the podcast.
